Managing orders efficiently is key to running a smooth operation. This article will guide you through viewing and completing orders, understanding payment statuses, reviewing taxes and tips, and assigning employees to orders. By following these steps, you can streamline your workflow and ensure accurate tracking and management of your orders and staff. Let’s get started!


In this article, you will learn how to:


View your orders:


When you open your Admin panel and navigate to the Orders tab, you'll have an overview of your orders. In "Orders view," you can filter orders by status: New, Completed, cancelled (refunded). Alternatively, switching to the "Tables view" allows you to see your available tables and their occupancy status, indicating whether they are empty, occupied, paid, unpaid, or partially paid.

Payment Status Indicators


-You can quickly identify the payment status of each order by navigating the view:

  • Paid orders will be tagged as PAID, marked in Green. 
  • Unpaid orders will be tagged as UNPAIDmarked in Red.
  • Partially paid orders will be marked as PARTIALLY PAID in Orange.



View Taxes and Tips of each order:


To view the amount of taxes applied on each order and Tips given, follow the below steps:

  1. Navigate to https://menudelite-mena.io/orders
  2. Select the order you want to review. 
    To see the taxes, check the “Sales Tax” line. To view the tips given by the guest, look at the “Tips” line.



Order Value is the total amount of the order before adding taxes and tips.




-The next step involves completing new orders, which indicates that you have successfully delivered the order to your guests, received the payment, and your guests are now ready to depart.


Complete Orders


To manage your orders, navigate to Orders tab from your admin dashboard. where you will have 2 options: Tables View & Orders View.


A. Complete Orders Using Orders View


  1. Navigate to https://menudelite-mena.io/orders 
  2. Below is an example of a new incoming order which will be tagged as "New"
  3. Proceed to the order that you would like to complete and click "Complete Order".




  4. Then you will receive the below message which to confirm that your order has been delivered to the customer's table, click "Complete Order"



B. to Complete Orders Using Table View 


  1. Navigate to https://menudelite-mena.io/orders
  2. Then click on Tables View then click the Table Number and view the order details.




  3. Click "Complete Orders" to complete the order and to clear the order summary on the QR code for this specific table.


Hence, your table will be ready for the next guest.



By default, your orders are grouped based on incoming transactions (Orders View) - every time a customer orders something from a specific table, this shows up as a new order in your dashboard.
However, you can also group orders based on tables by enabling this option from: Settings > Order Grouping >Enable Table view.



Assign Employees to Orders for Tips

This section allows to add employees to the business account. This allows to distribute tips among the waiters. It can be enabled or disabled as per your needs. 



Enable Assigning Employees to Orders  

First, ensure that this option is enabled so you can assign specific employees to specific orders.


  1. To do this, navigate to the Settings tab in your Admin Panel, then go to the Employees section.



  2. Next, click on "Enable Assigning Employees to Orders" button, then click on Update Employee Settings to confirm. 


Next step, you need to add the employees Name and ID via adding new employees. 



Add New Employees 

Adding an employee will allow you to track tips for each employee. To add a new Employee: 

  1.  Navigate to Settings > Employees and then click on Add new Employee.
  2. Add the name of the Employee and you can either add the Employee ID & PIN or they will be automatically generated by the system of you left them blank. 



Assign A specific Employe to an order  


  1. Click "Assign Employee To Order" on any specific order.
  2. Click to view the list of employees.



  3. Choose an employee from your existing employees list to be assigned to this specific order.


  4. Click "Assign Employee" to save the changes.

You can assign an employee either on New or Completed orders.
