In this article, you will learn how to:

Add New Tables

The "Tables & Reservations" section allows you to specify the number of tables available in your restaurant. This information will be used for managing reservations and generating QR codes to display on your tables. Please ensure that you provide this information accurately and make sure to only fill in the boxes which correspond to the tables in your restaurant - you can leave the others blank.

In order to add a new table to your restaurant, follow the below steps:

1.Click "Tables & Reservations" in the "Settings" tab.

2.Navigate to the Table size section and then add the number of tables you have for this size:

Example:  if you have 4 tables that accommodate 2 people each, go to the "Tables for 2" section and enter 4 in the "Number of Tables" field.

3.Then, click "Save Table Details".

Now that your tables are set up, let’s move on to generating the QR codes by following the steps in the next section.

Generate QR codes for your tables:

1.Navigate to "Your Tables" section from "Settings" tab where you can find all your created tables with a unique code for each one

2.Create a URL using any specific Table Code, by inserting " /eat/ "after your restaurant's domain then the Table code

Here’s a practical example to clarify the steps:

  1. Identify Your Domain: Start with your restaurant’s domain. For example, let’s say your domain is:
    https://mysterious-shore-47382.herokuapp.com/

  2. Add the Path: To create a URL for a specific table, you need to insert /eat/ right after your domain. This indicates that you are accessing the “eat” section of your website.

  3. Insert the Table Code: After /eat/ , you will add the specific table code. For instance, if the table code for Table 1 is 6t0ffn, you will append this code to the URL.

  4. Final URL: Putting it all together, the complete URL for Table 1 would look like this:
    https://mysterious-shore-47382.herokuapp.com/eat/6t0ffn

3.The final step to create the QR code is to copy and paste the URL into any free QR code generator website, or you can use Canva (https://www.canva.com/).
