SoftPOS (Tap-to-Pay) via Paymes SuperApp

The SOFTPOS feature lets merchants accept contactless payments directly from their smartphones—no extra hardware required. By using NFC (Near Field Communication), transactions are securely processed when customers tap their card or mobile wallet on the merchant's device. It’s fast, secure, and ideal for modern, on-the-go businesses.

How to Create a SoftPOS (Tap-to-Pay) Payment Request?


  1. Navigate to SoftPOS: From the Home screen, go to the Paymes Payments section and tap on SoftPOS.
  2. You will be redirected to a token activation form, in which it will be auto filled with you token.
  3. Fill in Payment Details: You’ll be redirected to the Tap to Payscreen. Enter the required payment info:
    • Amount
    • Title
    • Description
    • Customer Email and Phone
  4. Then click Next to proceed.


     


  5. Scan the Card: Ask the customer to tap their contactless card or NFC-enabled device (e.g., smartphone or smartwatch) on your phone.




    Make sure that the used device has NFC enabled.


  6. Payment Approval: Once the transaction is complete, an approval screen will confirm success


  7. Receipt and Confirmation: You can view payment details and share the receipt via QR code. Tap the QR button and ask the customer to scan it using their device.





Tips & Tricks:

Device Compatibility: Ensure your smartphone supports NFC and is on a compatible operating system.

Card Positioning: NFC antennas are usually located near the top or center back of the device—adjust card placement accordingly.

Network Connection: Maintain a stable internet connection during the transaction for smooth processing.



Sell your Products via SoftPOS (Tap-to-Pay)


You can use the Tap-to-Pay feature not only for custom payments, but also to sell products directly from your store.

  1. Navigate to the Store
    Launch the Paymes SuperApp and head to the Store section from the Home screen.
    On the Store home, you’ll see your latest products displayed, each marked with a POS icon for quick Tap-to-Pay access.

  2. Access Your Products Dashboard
    Alternatively, tap the Products tab inside the Store to explore your complete product list and manage your inventory in detail.

  3. Select Products to Sell: Choose one or more items you'd like to sell in-person and tap the Mobile Pay button.

  4. Enable Tap-to-Pay Checkout
    The SoftPOS payment screen will appear with the selected product details.
    Have your customer tap their NFC-enabled card or phone to complete a fast, secure transaction.
