Why the new plugin is NOT supporting ApplePay?

As per Shopify’s Payment app prohibited actions, Payment apps aren't permitted to process payment methods that include but aren't limited to, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal, and Alipay. Shopify has a direct connection with providers. That means that your customers won't see Apple Pay in Payment options. The only way to activate ApplePay via Shopify but not through PayTabs is to follow the Shopify Activating ApplePay Manual.

However, you could still use PayTabs PayLinks and or Invoices through your dashboard to accept Apple Pay transactions from the PayTabs dashboard.

Is it mandatory to remove the current integration?

If the current integration is not removed and the new payment app is installed, there will be 2 PayTabs options on the checkout screen, which will create confusion for your customers. Also, you should know that after July 31, 2022, all current integrations will be deprecated by Shopify. So, if the customers select the old payment option (V1) on the checkout page, Shopify won't process the transaction, and an error will be displayed for them.

Deactivate the PayTabs old plugin by clicking here ONLY right after activating the new plugin and testing it successfully.

Can I connect my multiple stores with my PayTabs account?

Connecting the same PayTabs profile with more than one Shopify store as it has always been in our Shopify old plugin is not supported anymore, as Shopify limits the connection with only one store name.
However, PayTabs always has a backup plan for you; just contact your RM or customer care at [email protected] with the new Shopify store URL to get the approval (the same as you did to register your main domain), then after this, a new live profile will be initiated for you to be able to connect it separately to this new approved Shopify store URL.
