In this article you will get a detailed description about the customer journey of using TAPN'GO, allowing customers to seamlessly access the restaurant’s menu, place their orders, and choose from various payment options whether they prefer to pay the whole bill, split the payments among the group whether equally, by number of people or by item.
Remember that the restaurant can also push the order from their side so the customer can just scan the QR code to pay directly without the need of ordering from the menu on the QR code which depends on your business case and needs.

Scan The QR & Start Ordering
1. Customer scans the QR code placed on the table. Each table should have a unique QR code.
2. Upon scanning the QR code, the restaurant's cover page and logo should open up. Customer should then tap the screen to start viewing the menu and the ordering process.
3. Customer may then navigate the menu and add the needed items on their screen, where they can also click on the item to read the description and add it to their order.
If the order items have been pushed from the waiter's side (restaurant side) to the table, the guests can scan the QR code and find the Pay button directly without the need to go through the menu.

4. Once the items are added, the customer clicks on "Place Order" to proceed with the order.
5. In the next step, we will explain how your guests can proceed with the payment for their orders with the different options provided.
Payment Options
The customer will be given 2 options: "Pay Now" or "Pay Later". The order details are going to be displayed to the customer to review. To complete the order, customer should click on "Pay Now".
- Pay Later means that the customer will pay for their meals after they get served and finish their meals.
- Pay Now means that they will pay in advance (before they receive their meals) , such as fast-food restaurants, food trucks...etc.
Note: the 'Pay Later' feature will only be displayed if the merchant enabled it from their Admin Panel.
Via Pay Now:
6.Upon clicking on "Pay Now" button, the customer will then be asked to enter their email to receive an order receipt, and the option to add a tip of their choice then click "Pay".
7.Adding Tips(optional):
-Customer can either select a percentage for the tip, enter the amount manually by clicking on the "Custom" button, or choose not to give any tip at all by making the amount " 0 ".
8.The customer will then be redirected to the payment page, in which they may use any of the local payment methods available via PayTabs. Once all data required is entered, they may then proceed to "Pay Now".
9.Once the payment is complete, the order details will be displayed (with an order confirmation no.), and the customer will receive an email confirmation of the whole order including the receipt.
Via Pay Later
Customer will be asked to enter their email to proceed and will be able to view the total amount due. Then they should click on "Place Order".
Complete Pay Later orders:
To complete the Payment for any order that has been placed via Pay Later option, customers will be able to either to pay the whole bill at once, split the amount equally among the no. of people on the table or pay for specific items separately.
To complete the "Pay Later" orders, customer should scan the QR code on the table once again.
Then click on the "Pay or Split your Bill" button.
Customer will be able to view the order details.
And then selects if he wants to Pay for specific Items, or via Splitting the bill, or covering the whole bill.
Pay by Items
Customer will select the items they wish to pay for, then click on "Pay Now".
Note: If the group has multiple orders for the same item, the customer can also choose to pay for one or all of them.
Example: If the group order 3 Nachos, he can choose to pay for only one Nachos dish or the 3 Nachos.
Covering the Whole Bill
Customer will be able to view the order details. To cover the whole bill, the customer should click on the "Cover the Whole Bill" button.
Split the Bill
To split bill, the customer should click on the "Split Bill" button.
The bill details will be displayed to the customer along with two options of bill-splitting. The customer will either split the bill for a certain number of people or enter the amount they want to pay.
After selecting their preferences, customer should click on the "Pay XXX" button, which shows the amount he is paying for, to proceed with the payment.
6.Whether customer chose to complete the Pay Later order via Items, Covering the Whole bill, or splitting the bill, he will next be asked to proceed with the payment via completing the below steps (which are the same as steps 7,8,9 in Pay Now option)
