PayTabs plugins make the integration with the PayTabs payment gateway very easy by providing a ready-made and easy-to-install plugin that enables you to be ready and go with a few steps, to get you up and running with your business.  

In this article, we will walk you through how to control what the payment currency would be on your website/store's checkout page. To manage this configuration option, kindly follow the below steps:



    

1. From your Magento admin panel, Navigate to the Stores menu, then select the Configurations menu item.





2. In the "Configurations" page, and from the “Sales” tab, select the "Payment Methods" menu item. 



3. Expand the preferred payment method from the provided list by PayTabs of the supported payment methods available.





4. Finally, Choose which currency you want your payments to be accepted with as shown below:



Choosing "Base Currency" will use your base Magento store currency as the default to accept/perform the payment with.


On the other hand, if you choose "Order Currency", will use the currency of the order which has been chosen from the currency picker on your Magento store pages as shown below:



Usually, this currency picker is used for showing the product price in the customer's local/preferred currency. However, per your configuration, it can be used as a payment currency.


But if you choose to check on the "Use system value" checkbox, then the "Base Currency" will be selected as a value for this configuration option.



We highly prefer to use the base currency option as Magento will convert the ammount depnds on the selected order currency, which may differ from the exchange rate then.
