In this article, we will explore the Transactions Activities feature in the PayTabs merchant mobile app. This functionality allows you to efficiently view the details of your transactions and manage various aspects, including processing refunds, capturing payments, or voiding specific transactions.

In this article, you will get to know about: 


How to View Your Transactions' Details?

  • From the Home screen, on the bottom section, click on the "ACTIVITY" tap to be redirected to your latest transactions screen.

  • Next, you will be redirected to the "Activities" screen where you will be able to see your latest transactions along with their status, type, amount, date, and currency.

    Note that you can view your latest transactions on the home screen also.

  • Once you click on any of the displayed transactions, you will be redirected to the transaction's details screen where you will be able to view all the transaction's details including the basic details, the cart details, payment method details, authentication details, customer details, and notes where you can see any failed IPNs.

  • Simply, click on any of the sections you want to explore more about, and you'll see the details appear in the dropdown menu.

  • On this screen also, you will be able to see action buttons such as "Capture", "Refund", or "Release"  , check more details in the next section. 

How to Refund Your Transactions?

  • From the Home screen, on the bottom section, click on the "ACTIVITY" tap to be redirected to your latest transactions screen.

  • Next, you will be able to see a list of your latest transactions, click on the exact transaction that you want to refund.

    Note that you can ONLY refund "sale" or "Capture" authorized transactions.

  • Next, you will be redirected to the transaction's details screen where you will be able to view your transaction details.

  • Here, you should click on the "Refund" button at the bottom of the screen, and you will be redirected to the "Refund" screen.

  • In the refund screen, you will be able to see the minimum and maximum amount that you can refund. Simply you should enter any amount between those two values to either do a partial refund or a full refund to your customer.

  • Finally, click on the red "Refund" button to confirm the refund transactions. Once clicked, your refund will be sent successfully, and you will be able to see the refund transaction inside the Activity screen (with a new transaction ID)

How to Capture Your Transactions?

  • From the Home screen, on the bottom section, click on the "ACTIVITY" tap to be redirected to your latest transactions screen.


  • Click on the exact transaction that you want to capture its amount.

    Note that you can ONLY capture "auth" transactions.

  • Next, you will be redirected to the transaction's details screen.

  • Click on the "Capture" button at the bottom of the screen and you will be redirected to the "Capture" screen.

  • In the capture screen, you will be able to see the minimum and maximum amount that you can capture. Simply you should enter any amount between those two values to either do a partial capture or a full capture of the amount.

  • Finally, click on the "Capture" button to confirm the capture. Once clicked, your capture will be sent successfully, and you will be able to see the capture transaction inside the Activity screen.



How to Release/Void a Transaction's Back to The Customer?

  • From the Home screen, on the bottom section, click on the "ACTIVITY" tap to be redirected to your latest transactions screen.


  • Here, you should click on the exact transaction that you want to release its amount back to the customer.

  • Next, you will be redirected to the transaction's details screen where you will be able to view your transaction details.

  • Here, you should click on the "Release" button at the bottom of the screen, and you will be redirected to the "Release" screen.

  • In the release screen, you will be able to see the minimum and maximum amount that you can release back to your customer. Simply you should enter any amount between those two values to either do a partial release or a full release of the amount.

  • Finally, click on the "Release" button to confirm the release. Once clicked, your release will be sent successfully, and you will be able to see the release transaction inside the Activity screen.
